Postage & Packing

Frequently Asked Questions About Postage & Packaging
1. How do you dispatch orders?
We use Royal Mail exclusively for all our orders. In the UK we use First Class post for all orders, and for overseas orders we use Airmail. Sacks of mail leave our premises every day Monday to Friday. Depending on the delivery address we will occasionally hold dispatch of live plant orders over from Friday to Monday to ensure that packages do not get accidentally trapped in the postal system over the weekend.
2. How do you package seed orders?
We send all seed orders in a padded envelope to protect the seeds. Pelleted seeds are usually put into a plastic vial to ensure they don't get crushed.
3. How do you package live plants?
Plug plants are dispatched in a unique cardboard box that will fit through all letterboxes in the UK. This purpose designed package meets special requirements for Royal Mail large letters which allows us to keep the costs of postage down, and this is reflected in our low prices for plug plants. 9cm pots and larger are dispatched in special blister packs which protect the plant during transit.
4. How much do you charge for postage?
We have a sliding scale for Postage & Packaging Cost based on where you live. For International orders, we contact us before you order and we will give you an exact price.

Up to £4-99 we charge £0-99

£5.00 to £24.99 we charge £2.49

£25.00 and above we charge £3.99

These do not cover our costs, but they do make an important contribution  which allows us to keep our prices so low.
5. Can I track my order?
With the delivery methods we use this is not possible. Royal Mail do not offer this option yet on their standard services. Our systems will send you an email confirming dispatch.
